Beijing Film Bureau will be offering RMB 20 million (approx. $2.9 million) in subsidies to 232 cinemas in Beijing that have been affected harshly by the pandemic. Small to mid-sized businesses will be eligible for up to RMB 500 thousand (approx. $71.7 thousand) depending on their box office earnings in 2019.
